Caroline County Summerfest 30 Years of Magic

This is a FREE two-day family arts and entertainment festival that will transform downtown Denton. Three stages of live entertainment, interactive arts activities for kids and adults, a “Rivah Run” paddling event, antique and customized car show, juried arts and crafts, fabulous food, gaming concessions by county civic groups, Saturday night fireworks, and of course…Magic! The Friday evening judged Car Show and Saturday Cruise-In put you right in the heart of the downtown festival with perfect seats for “people watching”.

Choptank Rivah Run

River Run is a fun open 2-mile paddling event for children and adults of all ages (under 18 must be with an adult). Any type of paddle craft is eligible with the best 5 card poker hand winning the top prize. Local businesses have also contributed prizes for other winning poker hands. The event is Saturday, August 18. Check-in starts at 9 am and the race starts at 10:00 a.m. at Martinak State Park and ending at the Choptank River Yacht Club in West Denton.

229th Maryland National Guard Army Band

The Maryland National Guard presents Big Band and Ceremonial classics perfect for an early summer evening. In the event of inclement weather, the performance will be relocated to the General James F. Fretterd Community Center. Performance will be Sunday, July 1 at 6:30 p.m. on the Caroline County Courthouse Green, 109 Market Street.
